Blanket Distribution Drive

Every Infant Matters (EIM) is raising funds to distribute blankets for homeless and needy people, to protect the most vulnerable from the bitter cold. We are raising funds to sponsor the distribution cost of 2,500 blankets for the families of the underserved people in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh & Assam. We have negotiated with manufacturers to get the best price for purchase and transport, and request you for funding. We have our distribution channels in place with volunteers such as local communities, social leaders, village Pradhans, and senior government officials such as District Collectors and IPS officers. All distribution costs will be borne by these local people.

The cost of each blanket is Rs. 120.

About The Drive

We are distributing 5,000 freshly cooked meals daily in 4 states to hungry people, funded by the Zomato Feeding India Initiative. We have received funds to distribute 700,000 kg of rations to homeless, hungry people, across several states of India. We are serving the most marginalised such as rag pickers, migrants, sex workers, transgenders and manual scavengers. Distribution is going on in Sikkim, Delhi NCR, Bihar, Uttarakhand, UP and West Bengal.

The challenge is that the beneficiaries are shivering in the bitter cold, and are asking for blankets, especially those living in remote parts of the country.

About Every Infant Matters

Founded by Dr. Radhika Batra (Paediatrician and 2019 Forbes 30 under 30 Asia Honoree) in 2017, Every Infant Matters aims to provide last mile healthcare solutions to the underserved communities across India, Kenya, Nigeria and Dominican Republic. Within India, the NGO operates in Delhi, Maharashtra, U.P., the North Eastern states and Orissa.

Since February-2020, EIM has distributed over 10K+ masks, grocery kits and PPE kits to 5K+ workers and over 30K sanitiser bottles to the most vulnerable sections of society within its areas of operations.

Together, we can ensure that alongside ration, EIM can also spread warmth through their blanket distribution drive.
